List of Thriller sub-genres

In class today we looked at different kinds of sub-genres.

This is a list of sub-genres that i know of:

• Action thriller: Action thriller often features a race against the clock; it contains violence, obvious antagonist. E.g. collateral
• Crime thriller: This particular genre is about crime films and thrillers that offer suspense of a successful or failed crime or crimes. E.g. the film Se7en
• Disaster thriller: the word disaster reflects to words such as floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes, etc
• Medical thriller: In which the hero/heroine are medical doctors/personnel working to solve an increasing medical problem.
• Psychological thriller: (often violent resolution) the difference between the main characters is mental and emotional, rather than physical.

The genre i liked was the action thriller because its got a lot of CGI, guns, fights etc included which makes the film action packed.
