In class we watched the movie 'Collateral' starring actors Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. The main plot line is that a cab driver Max ( Jamie Foxx) finds himself hostage of an engaging contract killer Vincent ( Tom Cruise) as he makes rounds from hit to hit during one night in L.A. He must find a way to save himself and one last victim Annie ( Jada Pinkett).
This is the scene where Vincent is in the building trying to look for his last victim. Suspense is created due to the lights going out in the building , this makes the audience anxious because if he finds his victim we know what he is capable off. The music also heightens the tension in this scene.
In this scene Max and Annie are running away from Vincent. Unlike the other scene the lighting in this scene is bright so we can see clearly what is going on. Suspense is created by Max and Annie running away and not knowing what way to go in the train station. Anticipation is made making the audience want to know whether they manage to escape unharmed or if the worst happens.
This is scene where Vincent manages to track Max and Annie. Suspense is created through the characters feelings, we know that Max and Annie are feeling terrified and as the picture shows Vincent is so close to them so it raises tension in the audience because we know what is going on.
